1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Stack Research LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Stack Research,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information through this website, research-access verification, member accounts, agreement receipts, documentation requests, and inquiry workflow. The site is currently inquiry-only and does not collect online payment or checkout shipping information.
2. Information you provide
Depending on the interaction, we may collect your name, email address, organization, role, phone number, research category, profile preferences, requested product, quantity or configuration, documentation needs, inquiry details, and correspondence. Do not submit patient information, medical records, diagnosis or treatment information, government identification numbers, payment-card information, financial-account data, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information.
3. Verification and agreement records
Access and login records may include a normalized email, verification status and method, code or link expiration, resend and attempt state, delivery status, and linked account identifiers. An agreement receipt preserves the exact accepted agreement text and version, required disclosure, document digest, verified email, submitted identity and organization fields, presentation and acceptance times, verification method, linked record identifiers, signing-key identifier, and integrity value. Email verification is not identity-document, professional-license, institutional-authority, end-use, or legal-permission verification.
4. Information collected automatically
The site uses functional cookies and similar storage for access recognition, authenticated sessions, form security, and preferences. Application rate controls may derive a short-lived keyed identifier from a grouped network address; the application does not write the raw address to custom account, access, agreement, or inquiry records. Hosting, security, content-delivery, backup, and email providers may create routine technical logs containing an IP address, time, requested URL, browser or user-agent information, delivery events, and security events.
5. How we use information
We use personal information to verify and administer access; create and secure passwordless accounts; preserve and validate agreement receipts; respond to product, documentation, account, and policy inquiries; maintain business and compliance records; detect abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and diversion; operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the site; comply with law; establish or defend legal claims; enforce agreements; and send business or availability updates only after a separate optional marketing choice.
6. How information is disclosed
We may disclose information to providers performing hosting, content delivery, transactional email, information technology, security, rate limiting, backup, document generation, customer support, and professional services; to suppliers or fulfillment partners only when reasonably necessary for an authorized inquiry or transaction; to advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or courts when reasonably necessary or legally required; and in connection with a financing, merger, reorganization, or transfer of business or assets. Providers may use information only for the service performed for us or as law permits.
7. No sale or behavioral advertising
Stack Research does not sell or rent personal information and does not disclose it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. The site is not presently configured with third-party advertising trackers. Because we do not engage in those activities, an opt-out signal does not change the current practice; if the practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required choice before applying the change.
8. Cookies and session duration
The research-access recognition cookie may remain for up to one year unless revoked or removed. A remembered member session may remain for up to one year unless the member logs out, removes cookies, changes a security-sensitive field, or the session is invalidated. Verification codes and sign-in links expire after 10 minutes. Short-term rate-limit records generally expire after approximately one hour. Blocking required cookies may prevent verification or account features from working.
9. Marketing communications
Marketing is off by default. Access verification and consent to electronic records are not marketing consent. If you separately opt in, covered commercial messages will identify the sender, include the required mailing address and a working opt-out method, and covered opt-out requests will be honored as required by law. Transactional, security, agreement, and inquiry-response messages may still be sent when necessary.
10. Retention
We retain information for the period reasonably necessary for account administration, inquiry follow-up, agreement evidence, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement. The period depends on the record type, account status, relationship, legal obligations, and any dispute, investigation, or preservation duty. Short-lived verification and rate-control records expire automatically. Account, agreement, access, and inquiry records may remain after closure when reasonably necessary for legal, compliance, security, or evidentiary purposes. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it under the applicable process.
11. Your choices and privacy requests
Members can update profile information and optional marketing preference in the account area. You may request access to or a copy of information, correction, account closure, or deletion by emailing support@stack-research.com. We may verify the request through the email connected to the records and may retain information that law permits or requires. Depending on your residence and applicable thresholds, you may have additional rights, including appeal or use of an authorized agent. We will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising an applicable privacy right.
12. Security and incidents
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information and service, including access controls, email verification, limited administrative capabilities, production transport security, rate controls, private record types, backups, and integrity checks for agreement receipts. No system is completely secure. Contact us immediately if you believe an account or record has been compromised. We will assess and provide legally required incident notices based on the affected information and jurisdiction.
13. Age and research context
The research-access process is intended only for people age 21 or older acting in a professional or organizational research capacity. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21 through that process.
14. United States processing
Stack Research LLC is organized in Wyoming and uses the Florida address below as its mailing address. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where providers operate, subject to applicable law and safeguards.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the site, providers, operations, or legal requirements. The updated version will state a new effective date. If a change materially affects an existing choice or requires new consent, we will provide an appropriate notice or request before applying it as required.
